I was (very) lucky to find a vintage brooch that is similar to La Vie en Rose except this one is in silver tone.
The necklace has such a cool, calming and refreshing look with the icy blue faceted aquamarines, faceted nuggets of rock quartz, and caribbean blue Brazilian agates in two different shapes (faceted rounds and rondelles). Lastly, heaps of Swarovski crystals in silver and gunmetal metallic, gray and blue to really intensify the stones.
The focal of this piece is this vintage brooch with four delicate fabric textured metal roses sit upon silver branches with elongated leaves. The vintage brooch has yellowed a bit due to age, but not too noticeable (personally, that just adds to the value).

Last Saturday, I attended my cousin's wedding which was held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

The theme was classic meet french shabby chic with white and brushed gold furniture and lots of fresh flowers.
Color wise, it was dusty pink-silver-cream combination.
I made some jewelry for my family, including myself, to go with the dresses we're wearing.

First up, this was the dress I wore in the afternoon for the holy matrimony.
It was a soft green chiffon with a touch of champagne gold.
And these are the earrings I made to match it.
They resembled the Milly earrings which was my first choice.

Next, this was the dress my cousin was wearing.
It was a one-shoulder dress with beautiful silk chiffon in dusty pink with some embellishment.
And these are the earrings I made for her.
A modified version of the Baroque earrings.

Now, this was the dress my mom was wearing. It has a darker tone of pink-purple. It's actually more of a mauve pink than the dusty.

And to balance out the purple-ness in the dress, I made these for her.
I think the contrast of the pink Swarovski really help brighten up her dress.

This was the dress that I wore that night. Similar style to my cousin's, one-shoulder dress with silk chiffon and embellishment around the waist.
And I decided to make these earrings.
I liked the transition of the pink tones to the gray Swarovski crystals.

Overall, it was a great experience. The bride and groom looked beautiful. The decor was amazing. Fresh flowers were everywhere.

Although I have to say, wearing a 5-inch heel all day and night wasn't exactly delightful, but hey, when you're only 4'11", you got to make some sacrifices, right?

The dresses were custom made by a friend of my sister. Thank you, Silvia!

I found these stunning vintage Japanese buttons not too long ago. I'm not sure how old these are, but the sculptural and the detailing are just astonishing, and well-made too.

I have a thing for vintage jewelry where a lot were intricately designed and had such luminosity in each piece. I had these filigrees for a while and contemplated of what I should do with them. I guess, they are too pretty that it makes it so hard to create something without overshadowing them. So here are what I came up with.

Shoes are one of my favorite things to collect, other than beads, of course.

I have these cute charms for the longest time, even before twinkle + sparks exists. Contemplating on what to make of them, I knew making charm bracelets would be too common. Then, I realized that I tend to make jewelry in a symmetrical way.
So, why not make asymmetrical earrings?

This cute mary jane flat charm is just too cute! The orange tone is matched with soft pinks from the cherry quartz, yellow Swarovski crystals and softer orange tone of carnelian.

Matching reds and pinks are not that easy. But I managed to find the middle tones and combine them. Red mary jane flat charm matched with corals and graduating colors of Swarovski crystals.

Mesmerizing, ravishing faceted nugget cut of precious blue Kyanite become a focal alongside with the sculptural 2-pearl brooch with tulips and leaves. Accompanying bits are rock crystal tumble cut, faceted barrel cut smoky quartz and some Swarovski crystals for that hidden effect. Closed with a toggle clasp.
The color of the Kyanite is quite tricky to be photographed. It's more on the blue side, with a hint of gray and green. It has these gleaming streaks and speckles that are just so fascinating.
Of course, you can wear the brooch in the center or wear it to the side of your collar bone.
This is truly a one of a kind piece!

The vintage brooch has some wear off of the gold plating, but it's not that noticeable. And there's a dark spot on one of the petals of the bottom flower as well.
I think these imperfections just add the beauty of the piece itself.

Elegance meets style.

These words represent this necklace. Dark chocolate shell pearls on one side and large white freshwater pearls on the other. The focal is a beautiful vintage brooch with a lush layering of textured leaves is accented with a dainty faux pearl.

The brooch is in excellent vintage condition, high quality gold filled hardware, marked 'C.R. CO 12KGF'. The brooch has this Grecian feel, hence the name.

The fact that I used two different materials on the necklace made this piece versatile.

Wear it with the brooch in the middle or collarbone. Wear the dark chocolate pearls on the bottom, vice versa or anywhere you see fit, really.

Beautiful, soft colored, neutral necklace with vintage Japanese buttons with seashell detailing, large blushing freshwater pearls and smoky quartz in faceted rounds and faceted rectangles.

Wear it long with the bold extension chain or detach the chain and wear it short with a re-purposed clasp from a vintage bracelet that came from Botanical earrings.

Note that the clasp has some wear on it, but not noticeable.

Vintage petite brooch of a bouquet of red roses is matched with jet black Czech crystal rondelles, two tones of red of Swarovski crystals and finished off with crisp shiny black satin ribbons as closure.
The red color of the roses has worn off a bit on the edges, but despite this, the brooch is in a very good condition.
Obviously, the color theme was inspired by the seductive flamenco dancers.

A (not-so-simple) necklace featuring a beautiful vintage four roses bouquet brooch.
Paired with a peachy pink carved rose-floral, rutilated quartz ovals with Swarovski rhinestones embedded, and creamy, blushing Swarovski pearls.
The brooch itself is in good vintage condition. A little wear on the stalks, but not noticeable.
The inside of the roses have a little bit of verdigris from age.
The petals have textures, forming a 3D effect.
Note: one of the rutilated quartz' surface is a little bit of rough (not smooth), but this is not a defect.

Somber jet black faceted onyx teardrops were hung on the vintage interlinks necklace, intertwined with black suede string.
Next, a layer of round faceted black onyx were added for more drama.
And a layer of crystal rhinestone chain is there for a little more sparkle.

The agate on these earrings have some moss in them. It's quite natural really. But they aren't that noticeable after being covered with the leaves and crystals.
I think the moss adds a little more personality to this pair.

This piece was inspired by the memory when I lived in Toronto, Canada; hence the name.
Autumn is my second favorite season, while winter is the first.

To emulate the autumn colors, I chose the flat smooth coins of carnelian, raspberry red round faceted Brazilian agate and a hint of midnight blue Swarovski crystals.

In an attempt to go simplistic (with a dash of color of course), I made these cute dangling ones with faceted heart minty amazonite, glowing green faceted glass teardrop, 18k gold plated oval links and a hint of Swarovski crystals.

The other day I was rummaging through my stocks and found this pendant. I had forgotten that I have this unique Murano-inspired pendant. It has metallic foils in silver, blue, burgundy and hints of bronze. In effort to mimic the colors of the pendant, I added some cerulean blue and red violet faceted agate, Swarovski pearls and crystals and some flat squares Murano-inspired glass beads in amber.
I really love the end result!
Reminds me of that one night the sky had all of these beautiful colors.

Still using these gorgeous faceted Brazilian agate in gradating colors of eggplant to dark peacock with a horde of Swarovski crystals and amethyst faceted teardrops clustering in between.
On the toggle clasp, a drop of larger amethyst teardrop is hung for some balance.
Looks amazingly precious when worn. The intricate little details really bring this piece to another level.

These gorgeous faceted Brazilian agate in gradating colors of deep purple to deep peacock were a perfect match to the green tones of Swarovski crystals and a pair of faceted amethyst teardrops.

Light gray grosgrain wrapping the bangle gave a base to show off the sort of ruffle/floral chocolate grosgrain with acrylic rhinestone in the center of each.

For the love of green, I made this piece. A combination of gorgeous faceted green agate rounds, stripey malachite, rutilated quartz ovals, and super clear, faceted barrel cut smoky quartz.
The focal will be this intricate flower pendant/link.
The best thing is that you can wear this in multiple different ways.

You can wear it with the flower on the side and malachite showing.

Or, for more of a luxe look, wear it with the green agate and smoky quartz on the front.

For a bolder look, wrap it twice around the neck!

Silky satin ribbon in dusty pink and grays are braided and embellished with freshwater pearls. From there, an intricate wired pendant (that can be use as a locket too!) is hung as the focal.

Well, it's not exactly mustard, it's rather translucent with streaks of burnt caramel of this agate. Combined with amazonite and Swarovski crystals. These are a jumble of fresh colors.

A brass round link is wired with small gold 24k gold plated beads and turquoise barrel is added. It's quite simple, but the combination of turquoise and gold is divine.
